Does it have a CHANCE of being self-sustaining without massive government support?

Of course, self-starters, independent non-conformists and people get things going are the heroes of prairie landscapes, as they are anywhere … we really admire ENTERPRISE, EXCEPT that we use fire to burn down those weeds which are unsustainable.

It’s a BRUTAL, cutting environment … like a North Dakota blizzard, a townful of hillbilly gossips who’ve never left the County or a raging prairiefire … but that’s what SUSTAINABILITY First is about.

There are enterprising developments in different realms … early, early seed stage nanoenterprises … maybe government data initiatives which keep government small but allow for people to exchange info … scientific research, especially in nontraditional realms
